You can use hidden fields to store and submit information not entered by the user. The information is hidden from the user.
To create a hidden field:
- In Design view, place the insertion point inside the form outline.
- Select Insert > Form > Hidden Field.
A marker appears in the document. If you don’t see a marker, select View > Visual Aids > Invisible Elements to see the marker.
- In the Property inspector’s HiddenField text box, type a unique name for the field.
- In the Value text box, type the value you want to assign to the field.
